FirstSource Staffing is New York’s premier full service social-purpose staffing company. Owned by the Fifth Avenue Committee, an innovative community development corporation in Brooklyn, FirstSource earns revenue by placing low-income, disadvantaged job seekers in temporary and permanent jobs with area employers. The President will be responsible for the overall management and growth of this eight year-old model enterprise with particular responsibility for business development to ensure the company continues to achieve its social and financial goals. Responsibilities: Marketing, Business Development, and Account Management Ø Ensure the company meets stated sales goals by overseeing the company’s marketing strategy, including branding and market segmentation as well as advertising campaigns. Manage consultants, including web and print design and PR consultants. ØDevelop new business by identifying new clients, and negotiating and finalizing agreements. Ø Manage ongoing customer service for FirstSource clients and oversee the Account Executive’s business development and account management activities. Recruiting Ø Oversee FirstSource’s overall recruitment strategy, including relationships with a network of community-based organizations. Supervise the Recruiter and the Account Executive to maintain high quality screening and matching services. Employee Support Ø Oversee the roll-out of FirstSource’s new Employee Assistance Program, including managing the Director of Employee Assistance. Ensure that employee support is well integrated into the company’s operations in order to give our clients superior service while advancing the careers of our employees. General & Financial Management Ø Oversee the Operations Manager and Receptionist to ensure the smooth administrative functioning of the office. Ø Create and monitor budgets, manage cash flow and oversee bookkeeping. Strategic and Long Term Planning ØPrepare for the long-term growth of the company and maintain relationships with critical stakeholders including lenders, investors and the Board of Directors. Qualifications: This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic, hands-on leader with strong sales and management skills. An MBA, or other relevant Masters degree, sales experience, staffing industry experience, and experience with social enterprise are all preferred but not required.
